Sharinne Crawford

Dr Sharinne Crawford is a Research Fellow in the Judith Lumley Centre at La Trobe University, Melbourne. Sharinne’s research focuses on parent, child and family health and wellbeing, including social media use during the transition to parenthood, children’s independent mobility and parental fear, media reporting of health issues and its influence on parenting, and the ethical use of social media in family research. Her research has spanned the fields of health promotion, psychology, community health, nursing and midwifery and community development. She has disseminated her research in journal articles, reports, conferences, forums and in the media. Her research has been of substantial interest and impact to government, community, researchers and human research ethics committees.
