First Person Consulting

Over the last ten years I've worked across several different fields and sectors; international and higher education, research, not-for-profit and consulting. In 2015, I co-founded First Person Consulting (FPC), a firm specialising in research, evaluation and design. At FPC our core focus is to help people and organisations 'do better'. We take a strengths-based approach and have a strong utilisation (i.e. it has to be useful / practical) focus. We work across a variety of sectors with a particular focus on the environmental, social justice and health sectors.

My particular interests and experiences are diverse - from designing and implementing multi-year, multi-site (and on occasion mult-country) evaluations, working with teams on designing programs and interventions for complex problems, or just generally being a collaborator and critical friend for projects. I'm passionate about team efforts in getting to where we need to go. Since starting in evaluation I have subsequently spent time training up in different design methodologies such as human centred design and co-design. My latest interest are systems practice methodologies, and understanding where to intervene in complex systems to achieve (and demonstrate) change.
