Mark Wooden is a Professorial Fellow at the Melbourne Institute of Applied Economic and Social Research, the University of Melbourne. He has a long and distinguished research record, mainly in the fields of labour economics and industrial relations.
Since 2000 he has been the Director of the Household, Income and Labour Dynamics in Australia (or HILDA) Survey project, Australia’s first large-scale household panel survey.
In 2010 he was elected a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia. And in 2020 he was appointed an expert panel member of the Fair Work Commission.
